KAMPALA, UGANDA — The US Grains Council (USGC) led a delegation to East Africa to discuss programming, partnerships and opportunities for US feed grains in the region. The team attended the 10th African Grain Trade Summit hosted by the East African Grains Council in Kampala, Uganda. While at the event, the Council’s delegation learned about regional grain trade constraints as well as opportunities through meetings with regional buyers and warehouse operators. “The Council’s work in East Africa is setting the stage for this region to grow rapidly,” said Mohamed Salah Bouthour, USGC assistant director for Africa. “We have developed partnerships with poultry and feed industry representatives that are helping to modernize and facilitate regional growth.
