Monrovia – The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through its funded project Ebola Transmission Prevention and Survivor Program has donated huge medical equipment to several public health facilities in Liberia. The health facilities include, Redemption Hospital, Duport Road Health Center, C.H. Presenting the medical equipment Monday symbolically at the Duport Health Center, USAID-Liberia Mission Director Anthony Chan said the equipment will help health workers better prevent, diagnose, and treat a range of diseases and health problems. Mr. Chan also reiterated USAID’s commitment to helping Liberia build the capacity of health care workers and better equip health facilities with the goal of providing all Liberians access to quality health services. Receiving the equipment, Liberia’s Health Minister Dr. Bernice Dahn lauded USAID for continuously supporting the ministry in its drive to improve health care services across the country.
