USAID Builds Three Health Centers in Amhara Regional StateNovember 1, 2018 - The United States USAID Built three health centers in Amhara regional state of Ethiopia, according to FBC report. The three newly constructed health centers were handed over to the Amhara health bureau this week, according to the report. The project was funded by U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) using U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), according to a statement sent by the US embassy. More than 75,000 people in Welela Bahir, Addis Bete Christian, Dabat and surrounding areas are believed to be benfitting from these newly built health centers. In the last decade, USAID has built 22 health centers in Ethiopia, 10 pharmaceutical storage warehouses, and renovated 10 existing health facilities through the PEPFAR initiative.
