The province will spend some VNĐ21 trillion (US$942 million) supporting two groups of households. The first group consists of 574 households whose houses were completely destroyed by the floods that occurred at the end of last year. For the first group, households whose houses were completely destroyed by the floods and were therefore forced to relocate to new places will receive support of VNĐ100 million ($4,400) each. Those whose houses were completely destroyed by the floods will be provided compensation of VNĐ50 million ($2,200) each and those whose houses were completely destroyed that are covered under social protection policies will receive VNĐ20 million each ($885). For the second group, each household will be compensated with VNĐ15-20 million ($664-885), depending on their level of poverty.
