Trybus Group is joining companies including PVH Corp, TAL Apparel, Epic Group, Hirdaramani Garment, Arvind Ltd and Busana Apparel Group in setting up production facilities in EthiopiaUS-based men's wear producer Trybus Group is expanding its supply chain into Ethiopia, becoming the latest company to set up a new factory in the country. The MoU was signed by Lixun Wang, vice president and director general of Trybus Group and Fisum Arega, commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC). The Kombolcha Industrial Park is one of a number of state-of-the art industrial zones specialising in textiles and apparel that are being established by the Ethiopian government across country. The first phase of the Kombolcha Industrial Park, built at a cost of US$90m, was inaugurated last month, and occupies 1m square metres of the total 10m square metre site. Earlier this year just-style saw first-hand how the Hawassa Industrial Park (HIP) – the flagship facility in the government's vision to grow Ethiopia into a world-leading production hub and a blueprint for similar parks across the country – is taking shape.
