US Treasury yields rise

U.S. government debt prices were lower Thursday, with investors keeping a close eye on economic data to get a sense of the recovery from the coronavirus crisis. The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note was higher at 0.6559 percent while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond rose to 1.3852 percent. Yields move inversely to prices. On Wednesday, U.S. yields dropped on the back of fresh employment data and comments from the Federal Reserve. Private payrolls increased by 428,000 in August, roughly double that of July but much lower than estimates.
