US envoy to India, Richard Verma and assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia in the US Department of State Nisha Desai Biswal on Friday apologised for 'hassle' Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh faced at the Los Angeles Airport. In 2009, Khan was detained by US immigration officials at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey because his name came up on a computer alert list. "Sorry for the hassle at the airport, @iamsrk - even American diplomats get pulled for extra screening!," Nisha Biswal, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, US Department of State said in a tweet. However, this is not for the first time the actor was detained.
