US Horn of Africa envoy heads to UAE, Turkey for talks with senior officials - State DeptWashington, Dec 11 (UNI/Sputnik) US Special Representative for the Horn of Africa Jeffrey Feltman will be in the United Arab Emirates and Turkey the coming days for talks with senior government officials from the two countries, the State Department said in a press release. "US Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Jeffrey Feltman will travel to the United Arab Emirates and Turkey from December 10 to 15," the release said on Friday. Feltman will meet with senior officials from the UAE and Turkey to discuss ways to stabilize the Horn of Africa. The Ethiopian government launched an operation in Tigray with the support of neighboring Eritrea. In the spring of 2021, Ethiopian authorities announced the withdrawal of Eritrean troops from Tigray.
