The average price for a cinematic ticket in the United States has hit $8.73 - a new all-time high according to the National Association of Theatre Owners. The new average was calculated from data collected from every cinema in the US, and every screening held at them. There has been a year-on-year rise of 1.4%, despite the enormous success last year of films like 'Jurassic World’ and 'Furious 7’ - which each grossed over $1 billion.
