Ivanka Trump has been asked by lawmakers investigating the January 6, 2021 US Capitol assault to cooperate with its inquiry. The House select committee have communicated to Ivanka Ivanka Trump that it had evidence that she had pleaded with him to call off the violence on Capitol Hill. Ivanka Trump's spokesperson said she had recently learned of the committee's request, but has not indicated whether she would be complying. Lawmakers investigating the 2021 US Capitol assault asked Ivanka Trump on Thursday to cooperate with its inquiry, in a significant escalation of attempts to seek testimony from the inner circle of her ex-president father. Political commentator, author and lawyer Teri Kanefield predicted however that Ivanka Trump would not testify.
