John Charles, MakurdiFive persons have been killed in a renewed herdsmen attacks on Benue State. Sources said that the killings have spread to Okpokwu local government area of the state where one person was killed. However, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State confirmed fresh killings in Guma and Logo where two persons were killed in each local government. Governor Ortom revealed that two women had been reportedly killed in Guma and two persons in Logo. He stated that despite the presence of the Inspector General Police and 663 armed mobile policemen deployed to the state, killings are still been perpetrated without the arrest of the attackers.
