Services will resume at Strathspey Steam Railway as The Flying Scotsman undergoes inspection. Strathspey Steam Railway has announced that its services will be running over the course of the weekend, after Friday night's accident which saw The Flying Scotsman collied with another train in Aviemore. Services will resume from 11am today, but the Ivatt 26512 will haul the train, as The Flying Scotsman awaits inspection after being involved in last night's crash. A spokesperson for Strathspey Steam Railway said: "On account of the incident previously intimated, our Saturday and Sunday services will now run, although Ivatt 46512 will haul the train whilst the Flying Scotsman (FS) locomotive awaits inspection. "The Royal Scotsman carriage set involved in last night's incident is being taken to shed to avail through inspection which will clear Aviemore Platform 3 for today's services."
