President Rodrigo Duterte who is in Moscow, has declared martial law in Mindanao. The declaration was triggered by clashes between the military and members of the Maute terror group in Marawi City on Tuesday. The President’s spokesman, Ernesto Abella, said the martial law declaration is good for 60 days.
