The Yamuna Expressway industrial development authority (YEIDA) on Monday said that the Uttar Pradesh government may soon approve a new policy to address land acquisition disputes. The move will benefit farmers and property buyers who have been unable to get plots for several years due to land disputes. But with the new policy, the authority will be able to seek consent for the land in parts,” said the ACEO. YEIDA will now seek the consent of farmers who are willing to give their land for development and target the acquisition of those portions.
