The incident was reported on Thursday from the south-western district’s Lohagora Upazila. Unidentified attackers have killed a union council chairman in Narail. Unidentified assailants attacked Dighalia Union Parishad Chairman Sheikh Latifur Rahman around 12pm near the election office in Lohagara town, said police. The attackers shot him before hacking with sharp weapons and fled the scene, said Inspector Monirul Islam. The body has been taken to state-run hospital in Narail district town for autopsy.
