The detained Korban Ali is the chairman of Dhalarchar Union Parishad and president of the union Awami League unit. "The UP chairman illegally hoarded the relief rice at his warehouse in the Banderhat area. We conducted a raid on a tip off and detained Korban with the sacks of rice,” said RAB-12 Acting Company Commander Aminul Kabir Tarafdar. Regarding the matter, Bera Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Asif Siddqi said legal actions would be taken against Korban Ali.
