Full service has resumed on the Kitchener GO line and the UP Express following a police investigation that closed both tracks and delayed thousands of commuters. Metrolinx spokesperson Anne Marie Aikins confirmed the police investigation west of Bloor GO Station was due to a death at track level. Trains initially held near the scene, and crews evacuated 2,000 stranded commuters. While both tracks in the area were closed for a time, both have since reopened and service has resumed. The delays impacted “thousands and thousands of people,” said Aikins.
