In a memorandum by Chancellor Fidel Nemenzo, UP Diliman shows three scenarios on online class suspensions. Under storm signal number one, online synchronous classes are suspended, as there will be internet connectivity issues as a result of the storm. Should signal number two is declared, online synchronous classes are also suspended not just because of internet connectivity but also because of a possible power and telecommunication service interruption. “Online synchronous classes are also suspended during Storm Signal number 2 due to internet connectivity issues, and possible power and telecommunication service interruption,” UP Diliman explained. Faculty members are requested to refrain from asking their students from submitting their requirements due to internet connectivity, power and telecommunication issues.
