Shingdha Union Parishad Chairman Shah Mahbub Morshed Kanchan Dhaka TribuneThe chairman alleged that the girl committed suicide by hanging herself with a ropePolice have detained Shingdha Union Parishad Chairman Shah Mahbub Morshed Kanchan two days after the mysterious death of his domestic help in Barhatta upazila of Netrakona. The deceased’s mother accused Mahbub Morshed Kanchan in a case with Mohonganj police station on Monday. Mohonganj police station OC Md Abdul Ahad Khan said confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune. The chairman alleged that the girl committed suicide by hanging herself with a rope. However, locals claim that Shingdha UP Chairman Mahbub had a tendency to misuse his political powers being the cultural affairs secretary of district unit Awami League.
