FOLLOWING a partnership with the Ideon Science Park and Lundavision in Sweden, the University of Nsukka said it was set to replicate their science model in the institution. The theme of the first International workshop to be hosted by the university, according to Ofokansi, is titled, “Science Park and Innovation Ecosystem for National Development”. ALSO READ: UNN to develop a world-class science park, says VCHe said the workshop would draw from the expertise and vast experience of foreign partners to benefit participants, particularly researchers, academics, investors, venture capitalists and innovative start-up companies. According to him, the gathering will identify and establish pathways of domesticating the precepts and principles drawn from the Swedish experience. Key deliverables expected from the workshop include, “Building momentum in Nigeria’s achievement of sustainable development goals (SDG1-17), Building local capacity and skill sets for Nigeria’s economic transformation’’, among others.
