The Office of Research and Innovation, University of Lagos (UNILAG), says some scholars of the institution have been awarded grants worth N115.5 million for various research projects. The statement said that the project was in partnership with De Montfort University, Chatham House, UK. ”Other collaborators included the University of Warwick, University of Namibia and Kigali Collaborative Research Centre, among others,” it said. According to the statement, the DITCH Plastic is a UK Research Innovation (UKRI)/Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF), funded by the multi-sectoral, international and interdisciplinary project. It said that the grant was approved by the Africa Multiple Centre of Excellence, University of Bayreuth, Germany.
