The Head of UNSMIL Ghassan Salame met Saturday in Al-Rajma with Khalifa Haftar and discussed the reasons that led to the war on Tripoli and the consequent humanitarian crisis in the capital. UNSMIL said on Twitter that Salame and Haftar discussed also ways possible to reach a transition to a political solution in Libya. Haftar said Thursday in an interview with a news website that he would form a government to be located outside Tripoli - in Benghazi or another city - if his forces couldn't enter and control Tripoli. Haftar added that the government would form a new constitution drafting assembly. Hafatr, who has bitterly criticized Salame in more than occasion calling him a biased mediator, said.
