CAIRO – 30 March 2020: UN Special Envoy to Libya Jan Kubis emphasized the need for the recent transitional authority to implement the obligations entrusted to it and included in the road map. This came during Kubis' visit to the Supreme Judicial Council's headquarters in Tripoli, on Monday, where he was received by the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, his deputy, and members of the council. Kubis also discussed with President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Muhammad al-Hafi, the latest developments in the Libyan political situation. Kubis affirmed his admiration for the performance of the Supreme Judicial Council and its preservation of the independence and impartiality of the judiciary. The French Embassy in Libya said in a post on Facebook: "The reopening of the French Embassy in Tripoli on March 29, 2021, to work."
