The Confucius Institute at the University of Liberia (UL) has ended its 17th edition of the Chinese Bridge Competition Proficiency for Foreign College Students (Liberia Division) in its cultural activities. The program was held on the grounds of the Confucius Institute in Congo Town. The contents of the “Chinese Bridge” were the keynote speeches (in Chinese), questions and answers and the exhibition of the Chinese Cultural Talent. Some students related the profound China-Liberia friendship and conveyed their love for the Chinese language. The success of the “Chinese Bridge” is a continuation of past years of experience, which opens a window for Liberians to understand the Chinese language and culture, and enhances the popularity and influence of Confucius Institute at the state-run university.
