The figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) reveal there were seven mothers who have logged their 20th child or more. The youngest was just 34, while the oldest was aged 43, meaning they could have a household of children ranging from newborn to adult. After two kids the numbers start to rapidly decline with 5,423 mums giving birth to their sixth child and 258 mothers having their tenth child. In total in 2018 there were 248 mothers in their 50s who gave birth to new children, including one who had her 10th child.
