While much of the rest of the UK will face grey but more settled conditions on Thursday, a band of rain will bring more rain on Friday. (Image: PA)The worst of the weather will be confined to Scotland where winds will reach 65mph, and up to 100mm of rain will fall. On Friday, the rain will move further south, hitting Wales and the south west before sweeping across the UK, bringing windy but warmer weather. Persistent heavy rain affecting some western parts of Scotland, northern England and north Wales easing later.
