UK weather: Torrential rain forces Brits to flee homes flooded with 'contaminated' water


People in Oldham say they have been left with "nowhere to go" as water seeped into their homes. It comes as the Met Office has issued two separate weather warnings for the next four days with fears homes and businesses could be flooded, travel could be disrupted and power supplies may be interrupted. The first Met Office warning was put in place at 6pm this evening until 5pm tomorrow and covers Lancaster, Manchester, Cardiff and Plymouth.
