Further north, conditions are set to remain mostly cloudy with showers and heavy rain in some pars. Showers and some heavy rain are in store for Northern Ireland and Scotland. Strong winds and heavy rain are forecast for some central and southern areas of the UK from early Tuesday. Scattered, heavy showers and thunderstorms could strike again on Wednesday, before becoming more settled from Thursday. However the north could still be hit with more cloud and rain on the weekend and there is a chance of isolated thunderstorms.
