A large UK trial has shown that an antibody drug can save the lives of some of the most vulnerable Covid patients. However, the researchers cautioned that the drug is difficult to make and relatively expensive. Delivered in a single intravenous infusion, it is thought to cost £1,000-£2,000 per person.
