A week ago the figure was 179, while a fortnight ago it was 255, 364 three weeks ago and 622 a month ago. In all settings, 125,690 people have lost their lives within 28 days of catching the coronavirus in the UK. In more positive news, almost 25 million people have now had a first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
