The tragic figure includes 98 deaths in England, seven in Scotland, none in Wales and two in Northern Ireland. A week ago there were 110 confirmed Covid deaths, down from 315 the previous Tuesday. Today's figure is the lowest Tuesday death toll since October 13, when 101 deaths were announced. Last night the UK's official Covid death toll stood at 126,172.
