UK and Ireland hairdressers and beauty therapists to be trained to detect domestic violence

Shear Haven, a domestic abuse training programme, will soon launch in the UK and Ireland to help train beauty industry workers to detect signs of domestic abuse as well as spark conversations with victims and help provide tools for safety. The scheme consists of a number of online courses and beauty workers will receive a certificate once they pass a test. @barbicide has already sent more than two million merits to beauty professionals, and we're proud to expand our partnership to make the @ywcanashville Shear Haven Domestic Violence Training certificates digital & shareable as merits.
