But PriceWaterhouseCoopers, who appear to call themselves PwC these days, insist that this is likely to be true of the UK economy, that it will grow faster than the other G7 economies up to 2050. Which is just what PwC is doing:Britain will be the fastest growing major economy in the developed world between now and 2050, according to a report published today. That would be faster than the expansion expected in the rest of the Group of Seven industrialised nations – the United States, Canada, Japan, Germany, France and Italy. Consultants PwC say the UK economy will not escape entirely unscathed from the decision to leave the bloc and that it will dampen growth prospects in the short term. UK economic growth is predicted to outpace the US, Canada, France and Germany between 2016 and 2050, with average annual growth of 1.9pc.
