A United Kingdom sports outfit, Anchor Sports & Properties has set aside 12th and 13th March this year for scouting talented youths in the field of football in Nigeria. Nigeria’s Director of the firm, Abdulgafar Oladimeji made this known during a press briefing held at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano State, northwestern Nigeria. “Basically, our aim is to select the best that will make us proud in the upcoming world players search (FIDO 2022) in Switzerland. According to him, they are interested in taking 24 players to the FIDO event that will come up May this year in Switzerland. We have received a number of calls from Lagos, Delta, Abuja, Kaduna etc to confirm participation,” he added.
