Dealing with the SNP Government is like going "up a ladder and down a snake" after Humza Yousaf appointed a Minister for Independence, peers heard last week. His campaign – backed all the way by the Scottish Express – has seen moves to stop SNP Ministers promoting Scexit while on taxpayer-funded foreign travel. Scotland Office Minister Lord Offord replied that he was "concerned at the decision to appoint a Minister for Independence". Jamie Hepburn was appointed by Humza Yousaf, despite the fact there are no plans for another referendum. That seems an unlikely prospect, however, as Lord Foulkes pointed out on Saturday when Mr Hepburn was again out on the streets in his taxpayer-funded role as an independence campaigner.
