The University Grants Commission (UGC) is making arrangements to reopen all universities in the country, stated its Chairman Prof. Sampath Amaratunga today. Meanwhile, the Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) staged a protest in front of the Rajarata University yesterday (16th) evening demanding the immediate reopening of all universities in the country. UGC Chairman Prof. Amaratunga said that discussions are currently underway with the health sector regarding the reopening of universities. He also stated that examinations are being conducted in universities at present.
