In a statement, the UEW UTAG described the lecturers who made the call as “impersonators and fraudsters.”“The current action by the so-called concerned UTAG UEW goes to emphatically prove the fact that the current UEW management is bent on sustaining the division it epitomizes and has created in UEW,” the statement added. The aggrieved UTAG members on Thursday complained that the national UTAG was interfering in the school’s affairs. They also demanded the resignation of UTAG President, Dr. Eric Opoku Mensah. But the UEW UTAG again defended the association’s actions refuting suggestions that UTAG incited students to riots. UTAG stressed that the members warning the national UTAG executives did not speak for the majority of UTAG members in the school.
