It had already moved the High Court and would carry the fight to the Supreme Court, if necessary, Mr. Thankachan said. The State itself was going through an economic crisis, incurring a huge expenditure in the name of the 60th anniversary could not be justified, Mr. Thankachan said. The UDF would take out an Assembly march on May 16 in protest against the government decision on district cooperative banks.
