Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has expressed his opinion that Kenya Kwanza MPs who vote against the proposed Finance Bill 2023 should face disciplinary actions within the party. Cherargei echoed the sentiment of President William Ruto, stating that he agrees with the President's stance. Furthermore, any Kenya Kwanza MP who shall vote against the Finance Bill 2023 should face the full force of party disciplinary mechanisms," he said. President William Ruto expressed his support for the proposal to implement an open ballot system during the voting for the Finance Bill 2023. On the other hand, opposition leader Raila Odinga has called upon Azimio MPs to reject the Finance Bill.
