A UC Santa Cruz student from Los Angeles County has died, a week after she was struck by an SUV in a hit-and-run collision while walking from a Halloween party, authorities said Sunday. Alexandria Arceneaux, 20, was hit Oct. 30 about 2 a.m. while walking along Highway 1 between River and Mission streets, according to the Santa Cruz Police Department. Earlier in the week, Arceneaux’s mother, Gina Williams, told the Santa Cruz Sentinel that her daughter was walking with friends when she was struck. “It all happened so fast.”Arceneaux was in her junior year at UC Santa Cruz and studied theater arts, the Santa Cruz Sentinel reported.
