UAE minister for food security in Manila for 2-day visit 111 SHARES Share it! UAE Minister of State for Food Security Mariam Al Mehairi will visit the Philippines Rice Research Institute in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, and the International Rice Research Institute in Los Baños, Laguna. During her visit, Mehairi is also expected to meet senior officials of the Department of Agriculture (DA), as well as other stakeholders in agribusiness. Preparations for her visit are being jointly undertaken by the DA, the UAE Embassy in Manila and the DFA. Part of her responsibilities includes overseeing the development of ‎necessary infrastructure to achieve food security objectives in line with “UAE Centennial 2071”.
