The celebrations featured an exceptional air show, reflecting the advanced level of military cooperation between the two countries. According to Russia Today Arabic, the display included aircraft from the UAE Air Force, among them the Dassault Mirage 2000, a French-made multirole fighter jet, and the Boeing AH-64 Apache, an American-made attack helicopter equipped with advanced surveillance systems and guided missiles. Ethiopia celebrated the 90th anniversary of its Air Force with events under the theme “Black Lion Air.” The Ethiopian Air Force was officially established in 1935 and is one of the oldest air forces in Africa. According to Ethiopian media, the UAE has significantly contributed to developing the capabilities of the Ethiopian Air Force by supplying advanced training aircraft and providing technical support.
