Abu Dhabi’s National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Morocco’s state-owned phosphates company (OCP) signed a sulphur supply agreement covering 25 years. Under the agreement, ADNOC will increase the volume of sulphur exports to the OCP up from 2 million tons in 2016. ADNOC, one of the world’s largest sulphur producers, sees promising prospects for raising sulphur production from 6 million tons currently thanks to its plans to achieve gas self-sufficiency by 2030. Our ambitious program will see OCP further strengthen its position as the world’s largest fertilizer producer and a leading player in the agribusiness value chain. As such, we are committed to further developing a reliable and strategic partnership with ADNOC.”OCP, headquartered in Casablanca, is the world’s largest sulphur importer and the world’s biggest producer of phosphate-based fertilizers.
