The rough at Oakmont is so deep, golfers can easily lose their balls just a few yards away from the green. This will be the ninth time that Oakmont hosts a U.S. Open, which is more than any other course. The last time the U.S. Open was played at the Pennsylvania country club, Angel Cabrera won by shooting 5 over par in 2007. Hitting fairways and greens in regulation will be of the utmost importance at next weekend’s U.S. Open. Along with the ridiculous roughs, Oakmont will test golfers off the tee box with 210 bunkers, a 288-yard par-3 eighth hole, and a 667-yard par-5 twelfth hole.
