Even Snowden says he wants to come home and is willing to face U.S. justice if he’s allowed to present a “public interest” defence. The Obama administration and most of the U.S. Congress remain adamant that Snowden is a traitor, not a hero. Yet the man most responsible for this entirely positive change, Edward Snowden, remains in self-imposed exile in Russia. The Guardian and Post won the Pulitzer Prize for stories that came out of the Snowden documents. It’s a long shot, at best, to think Obama will use his pardon power to let Snowden come home.
