U.S. Secret Service Director Randolph Alles Leaving Post

WASHINGTON—Randolph “Tex” Alles, the director of the U.S. Secret Service, is leaving his post and will be replaced by career Secret Service agent James Murray, the White House said Monday. Mr. Alles was appointed to the job in April 2017, having previously served as the acting deputy commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The announcement of his departure comes a day after the White House said Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, whose agency oversees the Secret Service, was leaving her post.
