The audit committee is uniquely positioned to help navigate technological changes through the company’s finance function, and directors can ask about the tools and technologies being used and how they are tied to the company’s strategy. That includes inquiring about how the enterprise is being digitized and whether data sets have been identified that will provide insights for driving shareholder value.
