U.S. DOJ steps up probe of American-JetBlue partnership - WSJ

The Justice Department is concerned that an American-JetBlue deal could reduce competition at congested Northeast airports in New York and Boston, the WSJ reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Those airports are hubs for U.S. and international travel. JetBlue said it would defer to the Justice Department to "provide specifics" and that its understanding was that the review was ongoing. The Justice Department was not immediately available for comment. American and JetBlue announced their partnership in July 2020.
