After months of tension amid trade talks and Canada’s arrest of a Huawei executive on a U.S. warrant, sentiment in U.S.-China relations is improving, the chairman of an elite Chinese-American group believes. “Sentiment on both sides is getting better than four months ago,” Committee of 100 Chairman Roger Wang said in an interview in New York on Sunday. Wang himself is a billionaire who also chairs the Golden Eagle International Group, which has business interests in the U.S. and China. Wang also believes the U.S. and China can make progress on a second area: technology and intellectual property protection. The improvement in sentiment seen by Wang has also been evident in global stock markets of late.
