Dozens of Syrian nationals have been transferred to Turkey for trial since Ankara’s invasion of Syria last year, according to relatives of those deported and a United Nations report published Tuesday that details alleged abuses in areas under Turkish control. Most of those deported were rounded up last October by Syrian fighters who spearheaded Turkey’s offensive against a Kurdish group that Ankara considers a terrorist organization, relatives and a group advocating for the detainees said.
